Earlier this week at CES, Lenovo unveiled numerous Windows 8 computers launching this year. Ranging from laptops, convertibles (laptop/tablet hybird), and gaming PCs. Let's get check em out shall, we?
First up we have the new Ideapad Z400/500 Touch laptops. Lenovo has a model similar out now but without the touchscreen support. These new IdeaPads are equipped with a 10-point mulittouch display, backlit keyboard, choice of 14 or 15.6inch screen sizes, stereo speakers using Dolby's Home Theater v4 driver, and power up to the 3rd-gen Intel Core i7 processor + latest NVIDIA GeForce graphics card.
Both models wil have a $699 starting price tag but the Z400 Touch arrives in March and the Z500 Touch in April.
Next up we have the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch. Lenovo's current pride-and-joy as its premier Windows laptop but now with added touchscreen support. But for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Carbon, let's break down its features. Equipped with a 14inch HD+ (1600 x 900),10-point touchscreen display inside of carbon fiber body, stereo Dolby Home Theater speakers, up to a 3rd-gen Intel Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB SSD, 8.2-hour battery life, Intel HD graphics card, and a spill-resistant, backlit keyboard.
The Carbon Touch starts at $1,499 and will begin shipping out at the end of the month. You can order the regular Carbon here with a $1,249 price tag.
Moving on to the IdeaPad Yoga 11S. Lenovo's convertible laptop that transforms to a tablet. Equipped with a 360-degree hinge w/ a 11.6inch HD (1366 x 768) IPS display w/ 10-finger support, up to 3rd-gen Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB SSD, and a 6-hour battery life.
Coming in June and starting at $799.
And lastly, Lenovo has a huge gaming PC called the Eraser X700. Ideal for PC gamers, the X700 offers up to 4TB of storage or 256GB SSD, up to 3rd-gen Intel Core i7 Extreme processor, up to 32GB of RAM, dual-graphics support (w/ choice of NVIDIA GeForce, ATI CrossFire X, or dual AMD Radeon HD), and liquid coolant using Lenovo's Cooling System.
The X700 will be out by June w/ pricing starting at $1,499.
