Nikon unveiled a new DX-format DSLR to become available to the masses with the D7100.  Christened as Nikon’s new flagship of its HD-SLR selection of shooters, Nikon will win many photographers (from those starting out to amateur to the experienced).   You will easily consider this a worthy upgrade to the D7000.

Armed with a 24.1MP CMOS sensor, the D7100 is powered by the EXPEED 3 image processor, has a 51-point auto-focus system, can shoot up 6fps, ISO range from 100-6400 but expandable to 25,600,  3.2inch LCD display, built-in HDR mode, record time lapse + slow motion videos, record 1080p HD video@60i/50i/30/25/24fps, two stereo mics, 2 SD card slots, and a 1900 mAh battery all inside of a weatherproof body.  All of the features and tools necessary for photographers to be more creative.

The D7100 is due out next month with a $1,195.95 price tag for just the body and a $1,599.95 pricing with the 18-105mm kit lens.   Your move, Canon.
