As MWC has yet to officially start, Samsung wants to start the part early by announcing its latest Galaxy tablet w/ the Note 8.0.  The 8inch Note has the same plastic build Samsung uses on pretty much all of its devices.  The official specs lines up with everything we previously reported on a month ago.

Consumers can expect the smaller Note to come equipped with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean w/ TouchWiz Nature UX, dual cameras (1.5MP in front + 5MP in back), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, choice of 16 or 32GB of storage, microSD card slot, 4600 mAh battery all on a 8inch 1280 x 800 display w/ 189ppi.

Can’t be a Note without its trusty S-Pen.  One of the definitive products from Samsung.   You still have access to Air View, Pop-Up Play, Pop-Up Note, and Multi-Window support.   The international version can even make phone calls.  I doubt this feature will make its way to the US but you never know.  And lastly, Samsung placed an infrared blaster on here so you know that means the universal remote app, Peel, comes preloaded.  Samsung wants the Note 8.0 to cover e-reading, media, browsing, and productivity needs.

No word on launch or pricing details as of yet.  Samsung just wanted to make sure we knew it was on the way int he mean time.
