While the rumors were buzzing with a particular date in mind for the Galaxy SIV unveiling. They may have been correct. According Edaily, Samsung executive chief JK Shin confirmed that the fourth flagship Galaxy S smartphone would be announced at a Samsung Unpacked event in New York City on 3/14.
Already some of the specs have changed from our last report on the GS4. The company is having problems manufacturing their 8-core Exynos 5 chipset and may have to go with Qualcomm’s latest 600 quad-core. Also Samsung would gain the Photosphere ability and rename it the Orb for branding purposes. Everything else still remains or at least what we know does.
With the recent releases of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, Samsung has made itself quite the Android manufacturer in regards to sales and popularity. We expect those numbers to increase with the launch of their newest toy. Now to wait for an official invite.
