Earlier this morning, Sony removed the cover of what they have been working on.  Sony updated the bottom of its NEX shooters to keep up with the back.  Meet the NEX-3N.   Now the smaller shooter in this class as it weighs in at 9.5 ounces.  Equipped with a 16.1MP APS-C sensor, 25-point auto focus system, continuous shooting at 4fps, ISO range from 200-16,000, 180-degree tilting ‘Triluminos Colour’ (vibrant colors powered by Sony’s BRAVIA engine) display, zoom toggle, and the new kit lens is a 16-50mm f/3.5-f/5.6 power zoom lens last seen on the NEX-6.

The NEX-3N is making its way overseas sometime in March but no word on when this will make its way here to the US.  I am patiently waiting for their NEX-7 refresh I know that is coming soon.  We will keep you updated as more details become available.

Update:

Sony US just announced availability and pricing for the latest NEX shooter, the NEX-3N.  Expect it to launch in April with a $499 price point w/ the motorized 16-50mm kit lens.  With this type of pricing, this NEX may be hard to keep on the shelves.
