Google unveiled the Glass API for developers can get to work on apps for it as they also unveiled the official specs as well. The Explorer editions of Google Glass will be equipped with a high-resolution display equivalent to a 25inch HDTV at 8ft away, a 5MP camera capable of recording video in 720p HD, 16GB of storage w/ 12GB usable that syncs with Google Drive, and a full day of battery life.
Glass will incorporate a slower Wi-Fi b/g support as well as Bluetooth v4.0 and charging via micro-USB. The interesting thing is that for audio, Glass uses a bone conduction transducer speakers. It vibrates sound directly to the skull rather than through the ears. The frame is durable as the nose pads are adjustable as Glass will be compatible with any device w/ Bluetooth support (which is pretty much everything these days).  For those of you unfamiliar with it, here’s a demo video of Glass in action.

So with the official specs out, is Google getting your $1,500?
