According to the sources over at Reuters, Google and ASUS will be teaming up again to unveil a more powerful, refreshed version of the popular Nexus 7 tablet.  The 7inch, pure Android tablet was a big hit within the Android community as we loved it in our review on it.  Google & ASUS looks to make it even better.

They are ditching NVIDIA’s chips in favor of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon processor.   It will also retain the 7inch display but upgrading form 720p HD to 1080p HD resolution and a thinner bezel.  With the suggested launch, we can expect this Nexus to run the newest version of Android (possibly Key Lime Pie).   As far as pricing goes, this could launch at $199 (storage size yet unknown) and push the current model to $149 or launch at $149 and put the current one in Google’s graveyard.  Since it is said to launch in July, we can expect an official unveiling during Google I/O developers conference in May.

Between this and a possible new Nexus smartphone and iPhone running a refreshed iOS 7, this could be a hot and really competitive summer. ?
