The good folks over at Android Police have been doing some digging within Google Play’s latest software build and discovered signs of things coming upon the horizon.  Apparently for this year’s Google I/O kicking off this week, they plan on launching an Android version of iOS Game Center called Google Play Games.  The new service will offer cloud game saves, achievements, matching, leaderboards, icon badges, in-game chatting, and gaming invites.   Working hand-in-hand with Google+ of course.  The icon is even a green-colored gaming controller.  This is easily one of the many welcome features Android users will definitely appreciate.

Just a few more days for actual confirmation.  So excited about this?
