One lucky guy recently purchased a Lumia 920 off of eBay and noticed that it was a bit different than other Windows phone devices. It turns out that the device was running a developer version of the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update codenamed ‘Blue’. The WP 8.1 update offers the addition of a much-needed Notification Center along with a redesigned calendar, and improved multitasking. Funny that Microsoft said they ran out of time when working on Windows Phone 8 to create a central hub for notifications. Looks like that will be corrected next time around. The update was confirmed by the sources over at The Verge so we can actually expect it later this year.
