At the strike of midnight, Canon unveiled a new shooter to their EOS DSLR lineup with the 70D.   Arriving as the successor to the 60D, the 70D offers several new features that make this ahead of the pack.  Powered by the DIGIC 5+ image processor, built-in wireless sharing via NFC/Wi-Fi, a 20.2MP APS-C sensor, 3inch LCD touchscreen display, 19-points of focus, high-speed shooting of up to 7fps, and a ISO range from 100-25,600.  But Canon gave this a very interesting new feature.
Canon gave the 60D an older brother.

And that is Canon’s Dual-Pixel AF system offers super-fast focusing in both photos and videos. What this means is that Canon doubled the amount of pixels within the sensor to achieve camcorder-like focusing.  We can expect this new feature to arrive in the company’s upcoming DSLRs.   You have a mic jack but no headphone jack or HDMI out.  Making this a more consumer-based DLSR.
Due out this September, the 70D will set you back $1,199 just for the body and $1,349 w/ 18-55mm STM lens.  You also have the option to pick up the 18-135mm STM lens for $1,549 too.

So who’s upgrading or buying one?
