After seeing Waze get acquired by Google back in June, we will now see the fruits of their acquisition on both of their mapping services. Stating that both will remain tow companies and would simply borrow each others’ resources. With this bit of news today, that has remained to be true.
aOn Google Maps we will now see real-time incidents consisting of: accidents, construction zones, closed roads, and more. How it works is that when Waze community members report any incidents, those updates will appear on Google Maps as well. Both it is a two-way street as well. Waze users now have access to Google Search to find a particular place on their maps. Also, Waze users get access to Google’s Street View when using the Waze Map Editor.
