Looks like Sony’s PS4 is tired of letting the Xbox enjoy all of the fun in the voice command space. The PS Eye Camera accessory will do more than just motion-gaming/navigating sensor will do more than just that. Thanks to its 4-channel mic array, it will also handle voice commands along w/ facial recognition to go head-to-head w/ the Xbox One’s Kinect for extra gaming features and voice-controlled navigation.
The only downside is that the PS Camera won’t come w/ the PS4 like the Kinect does. PlayStation gamers will have to pay an additional $59 for it. Sony will share more details as the PS4 launch date of November 15th gets closer.
