It seems like Samsung couldn’t wait until Wednesday to let the cat our of the bag. Until now, we only caught wind of the speculated specs + features of the Samsung smart watch. The folks over at Venture Beat got access to a promo video of the upcoming Galaxy Gear smart watch and took some pictures of it. More coverage lies below.
Apparently like everything else Samsung has done lately, it is big. The Galaxy Gear is a 3inch OLED display, that will be health-focused as it will have a heart-rate monitor built-in w/ its S Health apps to be a fitness tracker. But wait… there’s more to it than that.
The Galaxy Gear will offer a battery life of over 10 hours, 4MP camera, dual speakers, S Voice for voice commands, integrate to sync w/ a Galaxy S smartphone or tablet, and Bluetooth + Wi-Fi connectivity. Samsung’s big announcement at IFA in Berlin is happening this Wednesday. We won’t be in Germany but we will be in NYC covering Samsung’s live stream.
