On this wonderful but humid Saturday evening ahead of the IFA launch, LG decided to pull the curtain off of one of the projects they have been working on. They have grown weary sitting on the sidelines of these tablets wars (mainly everyone else against the iPads) and decided to join the party. Introducing the G Pad 8.3.
LG crafted a 8.3inch Android tablet sporting a full 1080p HD display w/ 273 ppi, powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, running Android 4.2.2, dual cameras (1.3MP in front + 5MP on the back), and a 4600 mAh battery.
The G Pad will utilize LG’s custom software features like Slide Aside, Q Slide, and Knock On from the most recent LG G2. Also new is the new QPair feature that allows users to pair their smartphone w/ their G Pad tablet to manage your phone’s calls + messages from the tablet.
No word on pricing but we can expect availability in the US sometime during the 4th quarter of the year.
