Today at Apple’s iPad event, to kick things off they started with talking about the new OS X Mavericks update.  This is version 10.9 of the OS and can be used with any Mac dating back to 2007.  This helps mesh the new iOS 7 and Mac platform a bit closer.

You get over 200 new features like a much-needed improved notification system w/ a faster reply, a new look to Finder, and iCloud keychain for saving passwords to name a few.  Other changes will be more visual as they come to Contacts, Calendar, & Notes resembling an iOS 7-style look.
The new update will be not be $20 but free this time around and it is available now.  You can grab it here.  I hope Microsoft is taking notes for their excessive pricing for updates.
