Earlier this morning, Google unveiled their latest entry-level Chromebook at an event in NYC. Introducing the HP Chromebook 11: the new, plastic unibody shell w/ your choice of up to 5 different color accents (all-Black, White + Blue, Green, Red, Yellow). Set to replace the Samsung Chromebook form last year, HP is handling it this year.
Offering an 11.6inch IPS display w/ 1366 x 768 resolution, powered by a dual-core Samsung Exynos CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB SSD, VGA webcam, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 micro-USB port for charging, a combined microphone/headphone jack , and a suggested 6-hour battery life. Unfortunately, no SD card slot which is something the Samsung one did have. That kind of sucks though.
The HP Chromebook 11 is available now on the Google Play Store as well as Amazon for $279. This Chromebook comes w/ goodies like all others: 100GB of Google Drive cloud storage for years free, 12 free sessions of GoGo in-flight Wi-Fi, and a 60-day trial of Google Play Music All Access then $9.99 afterwards.
