Bad news for those of you waiting for Apple to step into the arena of the megapixel wars. According to the latest rumors, they’re holding onto the 8MP sensor for yet another cycle. The China Post reports that due to design requirements, Apple will not upgrade their camera sensor but instead focus on improving its overall performance.
iPhone users may have to get comfortable w/ an 8MP iSight shooter for just a while longer.
Specifically boosting the low-light abilities, HDR, and improved (OIS) optical image stabilization. Bummer. They may wait for the 6s to make the change. I hope that this is just a rumor cause 8 is not the magic number when the LG G2 & the Lumia 1020 can shoot rings around Apple’s latest in performance + quality.
