After leaking out yesterday, Samsung makes the next-generation Chromebook official. Now we already know that it will sport the faux leather plastic back and design language of the Samsung ATIV laptops. Now we know to expect internally from not just one but two Chromebooks, coming in an 11.6inch size + 13.3inch size models.
The 11.6inch model w/ 1366 x 768 resolution sports a 1.9GHz Exynos 5 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of flash-based storage, upgraded to a 720p webcam, 8-hour battery life, 1 HDMI, 1 USB2.0, 1USB 3.0, SD port, mic port, weighing in just over 2lbs and priced at $319.99.
While the 13.3inch model w/ 1920 x 1080 resolution sports a 2.1GHz Exynos 5 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of flash-based storage, upgraded to a 720p webcam, an 8 and a half-hour battery life, 1 HDMI, 1 USB2.0, 1USB 3.0, SD port, mic port, weighing in just over 3lbs and priced at $399.99.
Both devices are set to launch sometime in April.
