I hope you weren’t waiting for Nike to bring the FuelBand to arrive to Android. Cuase it looks like that ship is never coming in. On Friday night, the company confirmed to CNET that Nike will kill off the FuelBand hardware & focus on their software. The company has also laid off most of their hardware team already as well so you know its already a done deal.
Nike told Recode that the FuelBand SE will still be an important part of their business. However, we can expect to see new Metaluxe colors and support for the FuelBand SE.There are rumors that this has something to do with the forthcoming iWatch coming from Apple. Added to the fact that Apple CEO Tim Cook serves on the Nike board of directors. With all of this happening, we may expect to see Nike FuelBand software on the iWatch.
