While Toyota is a frequent exhibitor at the NY Auto Show, this year they’ve gone full gung-ho in regards to living up to their tagline, ‘Moving Forward’.  They’ve come to display their innovations towards their vision of the future of driving.  They have their fuel cell-powered concept vehicle, the FV2 concept, and the super-compact iROAD motorcycle alternative. DSC00429 Starting with their FCV that utilizes hydrogen combined w/ the oxygen in the air to power the electric motors.  This makes for a truly zero emissions leaving behind nothing but water vapor.  Their FCV offers more mile range + quicker fill ups over electric-powered vehicles.  Toyota’s FCV concept resembles the Prius in design as they (for some reason) retain using smaller profile wheels on the alternative fuel vehicles.  Which makes it look a bit off at 1st glance.  But this looks to become a reality sooner than you think as Toyota is prepping to launch a fuel cell-powered sedan sometime in 2015.

Toyota: moving forward indeed.
