In case you thought the Halo series was done, you thought wrong. In the wee hours of the morning Microsoft and 343 Industries make the next installment official. Halo 5: Guardians is the name and will launch sometime during the Fall of next year. We know and can see in the photo above that the Master Chief is back. No word on if Cortana got fixed, other characters, or weapons returning as of yet.
We expect Microsoft to shed more light of the game during E3 next month. Rumors peg them to release Halo 2: Anniversary Edition in honor of its 10th b-day. But we shall have to wait and see. Xbox already has announced their E3 press event for June 9th. Maybe this will all tie-in to the Spielberg produced live action Halo series coming soon to the console.
