RX100 III leadSony is back and continuing to innovate on the optical side of things. They 1st unveiled the RX100 back in 2012 and has been updated once before. Now its back with its 3rd iteration of it w/ the RX100 Mk3.  What always made this point-and-shoot standout was the fact of it being armed w/ a 1inch 20.1MP CMOS sensor. That remains the same as everything else gets better.

You now have a wider 24-70mm Carl Zeiss f/1.8-2.8 lens, a pop-up 1.4 million dot OLED viewfinder, built-in filter, powered by the latest Sony BIONZ X image processor (the same one found in the A7 + A7r), Wi-Fi + NFC support, and a 180-degree tilting LCD display.

The RX100Mk3 goes on sale sometime in June for $800. This can be an ideal main camera for some and a great backup for professional photographers.
