Many weeks ago, the hip-hop & tech world was in complete and utter awe as it has been reported that Apple was close to acquiring Beats for $3.2 billion. This would make for Apple’s biggest acquisition ever and Dr. Dre the 1st billionaire in hip-hop. The deal was said to be finalized shortly afterwards but we have yet to hear any official word of this deal still even happening.
According to multiple sources over at Billboard, there’s speculation that it was Dre + Tyrese’s celebration video that may have canned the deal, not being able to agree on terms, or just the fact that details leaked in the 1st place.
Hopefully whatever the case is, they can wrap things up and make it happen. I’m still curious to see what these united companies will product for the photo device.
