Earlier this morning, Samsung made the Galaxy Alpha official as it matches up w/ the previous leaks about it. The Alpha will mark the change in the design of this and future Galaxy devices from the company. They call it the evolution of the Galaxy Design w/ a new design approach.
Samsung is taking a new step in their smartphone design – finally.
The specs pretty much match up to the previous reports. The Alpha will sport a thin body at 6.7mm w/ a metal frame over a plastic body. Then you have a 4.7inch 720p Super AMOLED display, depending on where you live in the world: a quad or octa-core CPU, a 12MP rear shooter, and a 1860 mAh battery. Kind of misleading w/ the name though after hearing the internals.
No word on official pricing or availability but will launch in some parts of the world sometime in September. The Alpha is set to arrive in Black, White, Gold, and Blue colors. We may hear more details on Sept. 3rd alongside the Note 4 unveiling.
