Apparently there is quite the shake up over who will be designing this year’s Nexus devices. HTC isn’t necessarily new, they haven’t been used since the Nexus One and are making this year’s premium tablet. While Motorola looks to be creating the new Nexus smartphone. The folks over at 9to5Google got the scoop on what we can expect.
Resembling the new Moto X but bigger it has been dubbed ‘Shamu’ due to its size. Making the upcoming Nexus will be bigger than previous pure Google smartphones as it will have massive 5.92inch display. But that’s not all.
Think of the new Moto X but bigger.
It will sport a 2K resolution of 2560 x 1440 w/ 498ppi. Powered by a Snapdragon 805 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 13MP rear-facing shooter capable of shooting 4K video. Hopefully Moto can nail their optics for this or at least outsource.
As far as the name goes, it could be the Nexus 6 or the Nexus X. We can expect an announcement sometime next month w/ a November launch. So if this is the new Nexus (which it looks like it will be), who’s buying one?
