While most of the attention was on the new iPad Air 2, Apple did update their smaller tablet today as well. Enter the iPad Mini 3. It actually isn’t too much added or new here. It is the same 7.9inch display w/ the Retina Display of 2048 x 1536 resolution. The body is the same as this iPad didn’t get thinner (not that it needed to). It still runs last year’s A7 CPU as well.
But what is new here is the new addition of Touch ID. You still have the same Apple Pay limitation as on the Air 2. Where you can only use it online and not in stores. Also new is the added Gold color option when buying one as well.
The Mini 2 starts at 16GB for only $399 w/ Wi-Fi. Pre-orders also kick off today and will begin shipping out tomorrow.
