Looks like Google isn’t done in creating new ways in sharing info between devices. According to a leak by Android Police, Google is working something called Coprescence which was previously codenamed ‘Nearby’. Think of it as a contact-less version of Android Beam or Air Drop that will work cross-platform w/ both Android and iOS. The new service is said to utilize Bluetooth to authenticate between devices then share info via Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct.
Word has it that evidence of Copresence is already present within the Play Services APK as well as the API for Chrome. We’ll let you know when more details or app availability comes into fruition.
