If you’re a cord-cutter, you’re more than likely utilizing Netflix, Hulu, and maybe borrowing a friend’s HBO Go login. This trifecta is great and can cover a wide-range of your needs but there are a few channels that get left out form the crowd or older episodes are present in Netflix. Yesterday, Dish Network unveiled a new streaming service geared towards cord-cutters called Sling TV. This is Dish’s participation in offering streaming services for $20 a month that you can cancel anytime.
Sling TV hopes to be the missing link in cord-cutting choices.
So what does $20 a month get you? Content from ESPN/ESPN2, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, TNT, CNN, TBS, Cartoon Network, + Adult Swim. For $5 extra, you can get Disney Jr/XD, Boomerang, Baby TV, Duck TV, HLN, Coking Channel, DIY, + Bloomberg. Sling TV will support devices like Amazon’s Fire TV + Fire TV Stick, Nexus Player, Roku TVs/players/streaming stick, LG + Samsung Smart TVs, and the Xbox One. It will also support platforms like Android, iOS, Mac + PC as well.
This sounds great but curious to see how well it will work. Is this something you think you guys would be interested in? Sound off.
