While this year's CES wasn't dedicated to a slew of new smartphones, there was one that stood out w/ sequel to last year's G Flex by LG. LG did a good job keeping this under wraps as no info really leaked until a few days before its unveiling. We got a chance to check it out and wanted to share our 1st impressions.
The 2nd-gen G Flex is everything you wanted in the original.
The evolution between the original and this one is reminiscent of the changes from the G2 to the G3. Just everything looks + feel so much better. The display is now a more comfortable + wider 5.5inch 1080p OLED screen instead of the tall 5.5inch on last year's model. Even the overall curvature of the new G Flex is more refined as it is more of a smirk than a full smile.
Also the rear which still has self-healing abilities are improved. Now it only takes 10 seconds to recover from bumps, bruises, + scratches. Inside the specs are more or less on par w/ the G3. Save for the fact of Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 CPU. You still have rear controls and now the same 13MP rear-shooter on the G3 coupled w/ laser-guided auto-focus.
We're looking forward to getting more time w/ it when it officially launches. Thus far, we have AT&T and Sprint offering it up when its ready.
