Dell isn’t a new brand in Windows computing. They’ve been at it for a while. But somewhere along the lines, the brand got stale. Same old design coupled w/ not the best customer service. It was probably after the “Dude, you’re getting a Dell” ads. At CES this year, they unveiled something different. Something that actually looks compelling. Meet the future w/ the XPS 13.
Dell is looking to cause MacBook envy w/ this one.
It is offering a great look w/ powerful internals. Of course by the name, it has a 13.3inch near bezel-less IGZO 1080p display. It utilizes a combination of brushed aluminum + carbon fiber to keep it weighing as light as possible. The standard model weighs in around 2.6lbs while the touchscreen comes in at 2.8lbs. You got the option of 4GB or 8GB of RAM, thanks to Intel’s new 5th-gen Core i-series CPUs, Dell is touting 15 hours of battery life inside of this one.
Now this looks like something you can actually call an Ultrabook. Good job on this one Dell. It is available right now starting at $800.
