While CES 2015 hasn’t officially started yet that doesn’t mean between today and Tuesday, companies won’t be announcing new tech. A car company is helping to kick things off, Hyundai to be exact. They unveiled a new app called Blue Link which gives Hyundai owners the feature to access remote operations from your smartwatch Android Wear smartwatch.
This will allow you to start/stop the engine, unlocking doors, flashing the headlights, honking the horn, call for roadside assistance, etc. Blue Link phone app will sync to your Android Wear device via Bluetooth. Hyundai says there’s no range limit so just as long as there is a data connection. Many 2015 Hyundai models will support Blue Link like the Sonata, Genesis, + Azera as well as the 2012-2014 Sonatas.
The Android Wear app will be making its grand debut at CES. We ‘re looking forward to demoing it.
