Samsung unveiled a new member of their smaller Smart Camera shooters that will cause NX300 owners envy. Enter the Samsung NX500. On the outside it may appear to be just a mild refresh but the internals say that this is much more than that.
This could’ve been called the NX1 Mini.
Inside it is powered w/ a 28MP APS-C sensor borrowed from the NX1 that is powered by their DRIMeV image processor + hybrid autofocus system. This also brings forth burst mode at 9fps, ISOs up to 51, 200, and a 3inch AMOLED touchscreen display for selfies + navigation purposes. The biggest sensor allows for 4K support as this offers high-quality UHD video at 24fps. You can also perform UHD time lapses as well w/ this shooter. You have an awesome Mobile button that utilizes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, + NFC for faster photo transfers.
The NX500 will be out in March. It will launch sporting 3 colors: Black, White, & Brown w/ a price point of $799.99 w/ 16-50mm kit lens.
