The Apple Watch: the company’s 1st smartwatch is coming next month. It touts an 18-hour battery life within normal usage so don’t expect it to go up to or past 24 hours. The folks over at Nomad unveiled a new solution for the upcoming watch w/ the Nomad Pod.
The Nomad Pod is a portable battery charger that has a 1800 mAh battery lithium polymer battery inside made for the smartwatch. It will provide up to 4 full charges w/ a magnetic dock. A cord wrapped on the inside of the Pod that plugs into a USB port. Nomad Pod is ready for 2015 as it comes w/ USB-A & USB-C port (like in the new MacBook + Chromebook Pixel).
The Pod will begin shipping on June 15th. It will arrive in 3 colors: Silver, Space Grey aluminum, or Black polycarbonate plastic. It will sport a $59 price tag on it.
