After quite the false starts of the roll out to Lollipop arriving to the OnePlus One, the wait is now over. Last week OnePlus’s own Oxygen OS arrived offering more or less pure Android Lollipop. We were able to get our hands on it last night/earlier this morning as wanted to give you guys a rundown on what to expect.
CM12 offers Lollipop features like Material Design w/ a new multitasking UI, Tap & Go and Tap & Pay, new Quick Settings, new notification layout, and much more that comes w/ it. As well as gesture controls, the Theme app that you can apply themes to specific apps, and they have their own email app powered by Boxer (bringing multiple account integration, custom LEDs for alerts, exchange support). Also on-board is better low-light performance w/ the camera as well as continuous shot ability and better A/V support for lower latency + high-res playback.
Thus far, I only dealt w/ one random reboot but other than that, its been very smooth. Loving the Camera new abilities as well as just having overall Lollipop on the OnePlus One. Its been a long time coming as the change finally came.
So if you’re a OnePlus One owner, be on the lookout. I know I will be.
