No better way to start the weekend than w/ good news for OnePlus One owners. After countless delays, OnePlus is finally ready to begin offering Lollipop in the form of its own Oxygen OS.
Lollipop is now available for the OnePlus One but no OTA, you’ll put in some work to get it.
The problem is that you can’t just go to Settings and do a System Update. You’ll have to manually install by flashing it onto your device. The update is about 700MB and it involves downloading the file to your computer, wiping everything from your device, and more.
The Oxygen OS looks like stock Lollipop but offers its own features like gestures at the lock screen, custom quick settings, and a file manager. OnePlus has detailed instructions on how to get started listed on the link below. Also, there’s a quick video showing off the new features that comes along w/ it.
