Lenovo’s super lightweight & powerful LaVie laptop is now ready for purchase. This was announced as we got a chance to demo it in person during CES earlier this year. So not as sexy & thin Apple’s new MacBook but it definitely has a lot more power & ports to boot.
The LaVie Z is still lighter & more powerful than Apple’s new MacBook.
Starting off you get a 13.3inch 2560 x1440 resolution, powered by a Core i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB SSD, up to 9 hour battery life, 2 USB 3.0 ports, SD card slot, & HDMI out. The pricing & weight has changed a little bit since CES. Originally starting off weighing in at 1.72lbs but now steps in at 1.87lbs. The LaVie Z starts at $1,499 for the standard model while the Z 360 version armed w/ a touchscreen steps up to $1,699.
