Despite all of the game-changing groundwork the company has made here in the US telecom market, T-Mobile’s parent company is still looking to sell the company.  Funny how they started gaining traction after the AT&T deal fell through and was gifted lots of spectrum.

According to a report by Reuters, their parent company Deutsche Telekom is currently in talks w/ Comcast for a possible deal that would free them form the US wireless industry.  Comcast has the $$$ to back them up so that is definitely not an issue.  They would be able to acquire T-Mobile by buying all of their US shares.  This shouldn’t be too much of a problem for the FCC to approve either.

But botched deals is quite the underlining theme here as Dish Network was allegedly looking to buy T-Mobile in the past and Comcast was trying to buy Time Warner.  Neither of those deals went through.  Only time will tell if this makes it to that point or if this deal won’t fall apart.

Who’s excited or pissed off about this bit of news?
