For those of you who may not know, Blogging While Brown was the 1st conference I attended a few years ago. It is a 2-day conference that focuses on bloggers of color to meet & network. Along w/ daily sessions w/ social media experts, speakers, content creators, and more. I learned so much as a lot I still need to implement. Met so many people and expanded my network vastly. This year the conference is being held in Austin, Texas and it will be my 3rd time attending.
Thanks to a partnership w/ AT&T, we will be in attendance as a social correspondent. They will be unveiling Inspired Mobility 2.0 campaign. For the uninitiated, the campaign is about embracing technology to be utilized as part of religious/spiritual organizations. For example: embracing Twitter/Facebook to share parts of the sermon, using an app to livestream Sunday service, pay offerings by the way of an app, etc.
In 2015, AT&T will host three main Inspired Mobility activities to encourage dialogue around the ways people use mobile and Internet technology to uplift and inspire.
Blogging While Brown
- AT&T is a sponsor of the 2015 Blogging While Brown conference, a premier conference that supports African American bloggers across the country.
- The sponsorship includes a partnership with a set of influential bloggers who will be reporting and sharing social content from all 2015 Inspired Mobility activities.
Google+ Hangouts
- To continue the 2015 conversation with key influencers and thought-leaders, AT&T will host three Google+ Hangouts in collaboration with church and technology expert, Jason Caston
- Each Hangout will feature a different topic around technology and inspiration
Social Media Sunday
- This year, AT&T is hosting a day for people across the country to use their mobile devices to share words and visuals of hope and inspiration
- Whether sharing quotes from a church service, or selfies from a peaceful moment on the lake, AT&T and its partners encourage people to participate in a nationwide conversation using the hashtag, #InspiredMobility
Make sure you keep up w/ us this weekend (Friday & Saturday) as we will be live tweeting from the conference. Keep up w/ all of the new happenings w/ the initiative on Twitter by following #InspiredMobility. For more info on it, stop by AT&T’s Inspired Mobility site.
