E3 2015 is pretty much a wrap but there are still tidbits of news coming out via interviews and such.  As an avid Xbox fan, I’m still reveling over the fact that my Xbox 360 games will be usable sometime in the near future.  Bringing a feature of us who went from the 360 to the One.  Sony has a workaround of sorts w/ PlayStation Now.  The folks over at Eurogamer spoke w/ Sony’s Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida to get their 2 cents on the matter and to see if they would offer such a similar solution.

The short answer is not to hold your breath for it.  The longer answer is that they were actually taken by surprised by Microsoft’s announcement.  They didn’t think it was actually possible for Microsoft to pull that off as it must be lots of engineering effort involved.  It actually is as they built an Xbox 360 emulator inside of the Xbox One.  When asked about a similar feature coming to the PS4, Yoshida says the PS3 is such a unique architecture w/ custom Cell processors as it would be super-challenging to do so.

So there you have it.  At the current time, it doesn’t look like its in the cards as you’ll have to settle for Sony’s PlayStation Now game-streaming service.
