I’m surprised we didn’t see any leaks on this sooner as we’re less than one month away from the VR unveiling of the OnePlus 2. The folks over at PhoneArena were tipped off w/ some photos that could suggest what we can expect from the sequel.
As you can from the images, it appears to show off curvier corners & thinner bezels all while retaining the artificial metal ring around the edge of the device. It looks to have a 5.5.inch or maybe even a 5.7inch display. The new bezels could just make the device appear to have a bigger screen.
On the rear we see a bamboo back as it is more than likely courtesy of their StyleSwap backs. Also, we see a bigger camera hole for possible a bigger sensor as well as 2nd sensor below it. Possibly for a biometric fingerprint scanner of sorts. I pray they’re not going the HTC route w/ a Duo Camera setup.
On the software side of things, it looks to run its own custom Oxygen OS which is stock Android w/a few gestures-based features from OnePlus. Which is fine but I’m gonna need that CyanogenMod on my OnePlus 2.
The official unveiling is set for July 27th and officially, the OnePlus 2 will have a USB Type-C port and run a new-and-improved version of the octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU. If this will be the final look, who’s picking one up?
