Earlier today, Verizon announced some new changes to their data plans and how you go about buying a phone. Introducing their new Simplified Data Choices: allowing you to have a more flexibility in your plans. Starting on August 13th say goodbye to 2-year contracts and the things that come along w/ it.
This new plans include a 4 flavors of data for you to choose from Small: $30 per month for 1GB of shared data, Medium: $45 per month for 3GB of shared data, Large: $60 per month for 6GB of shared data, and X-Large: $80 per month for 12GB of shared data. If you need more data than the 12GB XL plan, you can reach out to VZW for available options. So a family of 2 w/ 6GB of data will cost you$100. This is broken down liek this: 2 lines at $20 per line & $60 for 6GB of shared data.
These new plans aren’t bad but the per line fees are.
Each phone line will cost you $20 as it will arrive w/ unlimited talk & text too BTW. These new plans include the option of either paying for a smartphone full retail pricing or BTW of monthly installment plan i.e. VZ Edge. Each smartphone line will cost you $20 per month, tablets/hotspots will cost you $10 per month, and smartwatches will be priced at $5.
Every More Everything customer can stick w/ their plan until the end of your contract. So at the end of the day, it is offering better data plans while not going up in price. How do you feel about the end of the 2-year contract on VZW?
