Earlier this morning, AT&T announced a change to its policy on data throttling. The change arrives from that $100 million fine from the FCC that AT&T had to endure.
This new policy ups the throttle limit from 5GB to 22GB for those of you who are still taking advantage of the carrier’s unlimited data. Anything over 22GB in a month will start to get hit w/ slower speeds. After the one month, you’ll go back to your regular speeds. Those of you who reach 16.5GB (or 75% of usage) in a month will get hit w/ a warning.
This is definitely good news for you legacy unlimited data users. It would be nice if some of us stuck on tiered data plans got some love w/ that as well.
