Earlier today, we attended the Droid event which unveiled 2 new Droids to the market: the Turbo 2 and the Maxx 2. We wanted to kick things off w/ the Turbo 2 – which was one of our favorite and slept on phones of last year.
Better camera, longer battery life, and now customizable via Moto Maker.
The Turbo 2 is sporting a 5.4inch QHD POLED 5-layer Shatterproof display w/ 540ppi, powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3GB of RAM, choice of 32GB/64GB of storage expandable via microSD card slot, a 3670 mAh battery capable of 48-hours of battery life & TurboPower which gives you 13 hours of juice in 15 minutes of charging, running Android 5.1.1, a f/2.0 21MP rear-facing shooter w/ dual LED flash + 5MP front-facing camera w/ front-facing flash, and NFC.
The device feels nice in hands, it reminds me of a wider instead of taller Moto X Pure Edition. As much of the spec sheet is borrowed from that device like the cameras and Moto Maker customization. It goes on sale on Thursday, October 29th for $624 or $26 monthly for the 32GB and $720 or $30 monthly for the 64GB full retail pricing.
Beginning Oct. 29, get up to $300 when you switch to Verizon and trade in a smartphone — even with a cracked screen — and buy a new Droid Turbo 2.
