Over the weekend, we got a lot more insight into the Apple’s forthcoming 4inch smartphone: the iPhone 5SE. These newer details arise courtesy of the original source, the folks over at 9to5Mac once again. Thus far you can imagine the internals & abilities of the iPhone 6 (minus 3D Touch) in a iPhone 5 shell but w/ curved edges.
The new intel adds faster chipsets inside w/ the A9 & M9 rather than the previous generation CPUs. This will keep the i5SE more current for a longer shelf life. Also, having the M9 inside will give users the benefit of Always-On Siri. A feature from the 6S line where you can say, “Hey, Siri” from any screen like Google Now.
With the i5SE set to be a more entry-level iPhone, expect to see the dreaded 16GB of storage to start off with as it goes up to 64GB instead of 32GB. No real surprise there. The real surprise will be if the iPhone 7 starts off w/ 32GB instead of 16GB which I have a feeling they might do it.
