iphone_6 4.7inch stillLooks like Apple will be doing something you’d imagine they should have been doing – repairing shattered iPhones.  According to the latest report from the folks over at 9to5Mac, this could be making its way to Apple Stores right away.

Last year, they kicked off their iPhone Upgrade Program to swap out your old device for a gift card towards a new one.  Effective last week actually, Apple will begin taking in broken display, camera, or buttons within reason of course.  Trade in values have been reported to be around $50 for a 5S, $200 for 6, and $250 for a 6 Plus.  Also, Apple will now allow Apple Store employees to install screen protectors on your iPhones as well.  Unfortunately, they will only install those in which they sell in the store, which aren’t any of the good ones.

So it looks like in another step, Apple is becoming a one-stop shop for all things iPhone: from repairs to buying via phone leasing to installing screen protectors.  Makes sense as Apple will want you to spend all of your $$$ there.  Thoughts?
