Looks like we have another watch company getting into the smartwatch arena. I don’t consider Casio due to them being smartwatches of the time years ago. We already have Tag Heuer and Fossil in the mix and now we can add Nixon. Enter the Nixon Mission watch: your ultra-rugged, action sportswatch running Android Wear.
It is made to be completely durable – in extreme sports and water environments. It has a stainless steel body, a roll cage, Gorilla Glass crystal over a round AMOLED panel, custom dual-layer silicon band, and water-resistant up to 100 meters. The Mission is also powered by Snpadragon’s latest Wear 2100 CPU made specifcally for better battery in smartwatches.
The Nixon Mission will arrive in the 3 colors seen above: Black, Orange, & Gray. The Nixon smartwatch will be available later this year. No word on the pricing just yet.
