We already talked about the supposed Google version of the Amazon Echo that may or may not get teased tomorrow at I/O, now we have a bit more details on the matter. According to the folks over at the New York Times, it has a name and time frame for its launch.
It will be called Google Home and it will be announced and demoed tomorrow but won’t be available until later in the fall. It will be a voice-activated home device utilizing Google’s search to answer questions & take actionable commands via voice. Google will reveal it here so developers can begin to build for it now to be ready in a few months.
No word on what the device will actually look like but luckily the wait to see won’t be too long. Google I/O 2016 kicks off tomorrow at 10AM PST/1PM EST. Can’t wait to see what goodies will be revealed. How about you?
