This bit of news is just for you DJI drone owners (current & soon-to-be) who use an iPhone while flying. Yesterday, Periscope rolled out an update that will allow you to broadcast live footage from your drone while flying.
All you have to do is connect you iPhone to your drone’s remote and Periscope will automatically pull in your drone’s video feed. You’ll have the option to switch between that and your iPhone camera as well as narrate from a bird’s eye view.
The Persicope update also adds a search feature to find live streams/topics and the ability to sketch on the video to highlight moments of it. Android’s app got an update that included everything but the drone broadcasting feature. No word on whether or not it is coming to Google’s platform.
