Google announced the official name for Android N a few minutes ago on Snapchat. Say hello to Android Nougat, not Nutella or Neapolitan but Nougat. After I/O, the public was able to submit suggestions online.
Nougat will offer up a more streamlined notification shade, split screen multitasking, battery improvements thanks to Doze, Daydream VR support and much more. Following up Marshmallow, Nougat is set to launch officially this summer. It was launched in March as the 1st beta and is now on the 4th & most stable version.
