With the newly christened Moto Z unveiled at Lenovo’s Tech World event last week, one might think that means the end or the transition of the previous flagship: the Moto X. Apparently, that won’t be the case at all.
The folks over at Android Police reached out to Motorola to inquire about the fate of the Moto X and to everyone’s surprise, it isn’t going anywhere. The Moto Z is simply a new member of the Moto family as it joins the Moto X and Moto G. It does sound like the Z will become the new high-end flagship and the X will be mid-level of sorts w/ the Moto Mods being the real difference between the 2 devices.
